Dr. Patricia (Tricia) Breckon, born and raised in Fernie, BC, moved to Calgary in 2000 to attend the University of Calgary, where she competed for the varsity track and field team. During her athletic career, while training for track and cross-training for bobsleigh, she suffered a debilitating back injury. The conventional medical approach prescribed a range of pain medications, but it was through discovering a naturopathic approach to chronic pain and injury rehabilitation that she found lasting relief. Seeing such a positive change in her own life, Dr. Breckon was inspired to help others experience the same transformative healing.

As a former competitive athlete, Dr. Breckon understands the importance of optimizing physical performance and recovery. She focuses on nutrition, chronic pain management, injury prevention, and rehabilitation, helping individuals perform at their best and recover efficiently. She is also passionate about empowering the next generation to thrive, serving on the advisory team for Warrior Up to Win, a free nutrition program that educates young people and their families on making better nutritional choices to achieve athletic goals.

In her practice, Dr. Breckon takes an evidence based/functional medicine approach to help patients address the root causes of health issues and optimize overall well-being. She has a special focus on perimenopause, menopause, metabolic health, stress management, and digestive health. Absolutely! Here’s the updated version that includes vaginal rejuvenation while maintaining the explanation of how your aesthetic treatments align with your therapeutic approach:

In addition to her focus on functional medicine, Dr. Breckon offers a variety of integrative aesthetics treatments that work in harmony with her therapeutic approach. These include mesotherapy, microneedling, radiofrequency treatments, exosome therapy, and vaginal rejuvenation. Each treatment is designed to enhance the body’s natural healing response, promoting skin health, boosting collagen production, restoring vitality, and improving intimate wellness. Dr. Breckon is particularly drawn to integrative aesthetics because these therapies share a similar mechanism with her pain management treatments, both focusing on stimulating the body’s innate ability to heal and rejuvenate. This holistic approach ensures that patients not only look and feel their best externally but also experience internal health optimization, leading to long-lasting and comprehensive wellness.

Dr. Breckon was honored with the Academic Excellence Award upon graduating at the top of her class from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. Her evidence-based approach to natural therapy is grounded in her background in health research, biostatistics, and epidemiology, making her uniquely equipped to guide patients on their journey to optimize, perform, and thrive.
